Yarrow

A miracle of details and delicate structure: yarrow is a classic medicinal plant and should not be missing in any monastery garden. As a medicinal herb of the first hour, it has accompanied people for a very long time. Its ingredients show it: essential oils, tannins, flavonoids and bitter substances make it a multi-purpose herb. Internally, for example, it can be used to prevent the loss of appetite and crampy gastrointestinal complaints. Young yarrow leaves are excellent as a wild vegetable for refining salads.

Skin: On the skin it shows anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties.
